Mission Statement
The mission of the Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing
Authority Police Department is to preserve
and advance the principles of democracy. We will uphold the Constitution
of the United States of America, the laws of the State of Ohio and
the Ordinances of those with which we hold concurrent jurisdiction.
Our respect for the rights guaranteed each citizen by our nation’s
Constitution is paramount. Based upon our belief that human life is
precious, we place our highest value on the protection of that life.
We will emphasize and pursue vigorously the prevention
of crime through speedy identification and apprehension of all criminals
without discrimination while preserving the public peace. We will
provide the community the highest quality police services in an efficient
and effective manner.
We will involve the community in policing strategies.
We will enhance a cooperative spirit expanding communications between
the community and the police department through sensitive, courteous
professional interaction. Always mindful of career development for
our employees. Understanding job satisfaction creates the avenue
for providing the highest quality of life for persons residing in
and associated with Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority.
We have a vision of a better tomorrow. Confidence

These principles set out the philosophy of policing
to be employed by the Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority Police
Department. They provide the basis for all operational strategies
