Patch Update

I am proud to unveil our new patch for the CMHA Police Department.  The original concept was developed by our very own Officer Ronald Hopkins.  Mr. Hector Vega and Ms. Brenda Malone, both CMHA employees, developed the concept into the design you now see.

  • The red border symbolizes sacrifice, dedication and honor to all officers that are currently serving or who have previously served in law enforcement.
  • The gold olive branches symbolize peace and civility that we strive for in the performance of our duties.
  • The rays of light at the top represent illumination towards a future of hope, respect and goodwill to all our citizens.
  • The central horizontal band in red outline represents the laws which hold our neighborhoods together.
  • The Cuyahoga County and City of Cleveland symbols reflect CMHA’s contribution as a partner in the region.
  • The year 1933 represents when CMHA was established.
  • The blue background is the primary color identified with the law enforcement profession.

We will all take great pride in wearing our new patch.
