The CMHA Police Department is accepting
applications for its POLICE RESERVE OFFICER
PROGRAM.
The Reserve
Officer Program is a Volunteer
Program. CMHAPD will hold
a Reserve Officer's OPOTA certification
while assigned to the Reserve
Program. Reserve Officers
must perform at least 24
hours of service each month.
Reserve
Officers may perform law
enforcement duties , which include but
are not limited to:

Basic patrol
-
Conduct preliminary
investigations
-
Writing departmental
reports
-
Conduct accident
investigation
-
Issue department
approved citations for forms
-
Testify
in court
-
Work special
events, etc.
Minimum
Qualifications of a Reserve Officer:
-
Age 21 at time
of appointment.
-
OPOTC certification.
-
Citizen of
the United States.
-
Must have a
high school diploma or G.E.D.
-
Must never
have been convicted of:
- A felony
- A serious
misdemeanor
- A series
of offenses showing a disregard
for constituted authority
-
Be of good
character and have a good reputation
in the community.
-
Possess good
judgment, tact, and initiative commensurate
with the position and assignment.
-
Pass required
polygraph exam, psychological screening,
and medical exam.

Pass required
background investigation.
-
Possess a valid
driver's license from the State of
Ohio
-
Pass an oral
interview
Qualified applicants

Friday between the hours of 8:30 a.m.
